These Terms of Service govern your use of Find Cars For Sale (findcarsforsale.co.uk). By using our site or submitting an enquiry through it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Description of the service

Find Cars For Sale is an enquiry-matching platform for people looking to buy or sell a car. We are not a motor dealer, we do not hold vehicle stock, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and a dealer or buyer. We do not guarantee that submitting an enquiry will result in a match, a sale, a purchase, or any particular price — we simply pass relevant enquiry details, with your consent, to motor dealers and vehicle-buying businesses who may be able to help.

We also operate a marketplace where members of the public can list a car for sale or post a request describing a car they are looking to buy ("Cars for Sale" and "Cars Wanted"). Find Cars For Sale is not the seller or buyer in any marketplace listing, does not take ownership of or inspect any vehicle, and is not a party to any resulting sale, purchase, or negotiation.

Your responsibilities

When you use our site, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information in any form you submit, including your contact details and any details about a vehicle you are buying or selling. Providing inaccurate information may mean dealers and buyers cannot properly assess or respond to your enquiry.

You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to submit enquiries that are fraudulent, abusive, or not made in good faith.

How enquiries are shared with dealers

Where you submit a buying or selling enquiry and give your consent, we share the relevant details with a selection of motor dealers or vehicle-buying businesses so they can consider and respond to your enquiry directly. We do not guarantee that any dealer or buyer will respond, or how quickly they will do so. Once your details have been shared, any further contact, negotiation, or transaction takes place directly between you and that dealer or buyer.

The marketplace: listings and buyer requests

If you submit a vehicle listing or a car-wanted request, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, that you have the right to sell or are genuinely looking to buy the vehicle described, and that any photos you upload are your own and do not show personal documents, number plates you do not wish to make public, or content that infringes anyone else's rights. Listings and requests are not published automatically — we review submissions before they appear publicly, and we may reject, edit for clarity, suspend, or remove any listing or request at our discretion, including where it appears inaccurate, fraudulent, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise unsuitable. We do not verify vehicle history, ownership, condition, mileage, or the identity of any user, and we do not guarantee that a listing will result in a sale or that a car-wanted request will result in a suitable response.

We do not display your email address or phone number directly on a public listing or request page. Where another user contacts you through the site (for example, using "Contact Seller" or "I Have a Suitable Car"), we forward their message to you by email; any further contact, viewing, negotiation, and transaction happens directly between you and that person, and Find Cars For Sale is not responsible or liable for it. You are responsible for exercising your own judgement and caution — including verifying a vehicle in person and not sending money before you are satisfied — before agreeing to buy, sell, or exchange anything with another user. You can report a listing or request that looks wrong using the "Report this listing" link on its page, and we will review it.

Third-party dealers and transactions

Any transaction, agreement, negotiation, or dispute arising from an enquiry is between you and the relevant dealer or vehicle-buying business — Find Cars For Sale is not a party to it. We are not responsible or liable for the conduct, actions, omissions, pricing, vehicle condition claims, or any other aspect of a third-party dealer or buyer's dealings with you. We encourage you to carry out your own checks before entering into any agreement with a third party.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, design, graphics, logos, and the Find Cars For Sale name and branding — belongs to Find Cars For Sale or its licensors, unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse any part of the site's content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

Limitation of liability

We take reasonable care to operate a reliable and accurate platform, but the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without guarantees of any particular outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, or from the actions of any third-party dealer or buyer.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes relating to them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our service or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
